Album Review: Vampire Weekend – Modern Vampires of the City – and much more!

The Web is a huge and strange place. Addictive, yes, but nevertheless filled with lots of people writing (and doing) crazy stuff. From the farthest, untouched, nether regions of the Internet I bring you another links round-up that I’m sure will make you wonder, chuckle, or scratch your bonce in disbelief. Here’s the list:

First up this time around, it’s Daft Punk. Oh, yes, I thought you’d find that intriguing! Let us take a quick look at what’s caught my eye in the week. See:

Kendrick Lamar has also been talked about pretty widely recently, which is hardly surprising considering recent events. Here are some of the sites with interesting links for us.
– New Music: Solange f/ Kendrick Lamar – ‘Looks Good With Trouble (Remix)’ – “Kendrick Lamar blesses Solange with a verse on the remix to “Looks Good With Trouble,” a cut off her EP True … The song is now available on iTunes” – said

Now Country music is just hot like the Sahara sun, and we are pretty sure you want to know the details. Top Country Tweets of the Week – Week of May 12th – “This world is about to get a SERIOUS education on country music” – said

Last but not least, we also have Vampire Weekend that has caused stirs in the mainstream press for some time now.
– Album Review: Vampire Weekend – Modern Vampires of the City – “Who gives a fuck about a Vampire Weekend privilege narrative? … Mid-album strings & groove monster “Everlasting Arms” talks to a God it doesn’t (or can’t) believe in from an imminent deathbed. The only images more engrained into Modern Vampires than those of time and change are images of New York City” – said Have a look at these links to read more – watch Vampire Weekend on ‘Saturday Night Live’ (videos) –

That’s all for this week, but you should definitely stay tuned to this website for the next round-up. Don’t miss it
